Fabulous Student Reading

Congratulations to our seven fabulous students and alumni who shared their work at our student reading last night at Kemptown Bookshop. We heard poetry and prose, fiction and memoir, from Rowan January-Turrall, Jill Dyson, Vanessa Gibbons, Alan Bonner, Sally Meyer, Sally Foster and Hannah May Kilroy all introduced by life writing tutor Katy Massey.

It was a moving evening with beautiful words exploring death and dying, bullying, abusive relationships, violence and homphobia but also some glorious funny and uplifting work. There were plenty of laugh-out-loud moments.

Sharing work to a live audience is an incredibly brave thing to do, so a huge well done to everyone who took part. Our final student and alumni reading is on 2 June online.
