Inspirational Student Reading

Congratulations to our seven students who shared their work at our spring reading last night at Kemptown Bookshop, Brighton. David Strong, Sam Oliver, Sarah Corney, Alex Hayes, Lorna Easterbrook, Laura Smith and Mick Taylor read a mixture of novels and memoirs in progress, flash fiction and poetry inspired by everything from loss, motherhood, racism, violence and the current state of the world. It was a truly inspirational evening.

A huge thank you to poet and CWP tutor Roy Mcfarlane for hosting the evening and sharing some of his own beautiful poetry and Kemptown Bookshop for providing the perfect, cosy backdrop.

Our next readings are on 5th June in Brighton and 2nd July online. If you're a student or alumni of the programme and would like to share your work at one of these events, then please get in touch with Cathy Hayward - cathy@creativewritingprogramme.org.uk If you want to be a member of the audience, the booking link is here: https://bit.ly/43FCTlc

They’re a great chance to meet other writers, hear what people are working on and be inspired in your own work.
